The end of hate journalism: a new era of truth and unity

For decades, certain individuals have exploited the suffering of the Congolese people by imposing divisive narratives. They have manipulated history, fueled hatred, and encouraged artificial identities, thus sowing discord within communities. But this era is coming to an end.

Common sense, though often rare among those who profit from the misery of others, always ends up prevailing. The Congolese population, aware of the manipulations it has been subjected to, is increasingly rejecting these harmful discourses. The era of misinformation, where words are used as weapons to divide and dominate, is gradually giving way to a new dynamic: one of truth, unity, and progress.

Those who persist in spreading these toxic narratives are digging their own graves. The hatred they instill acts like erosion, slowly but surely sweeping them away. History has shown that ideologies based on division eventually collapse under their own weight.

Journalism, as a fundamental pillar of democracy and social progress, can no longer be a tool of hatred. It must return to being a vehicle of truth and justice, bringing hope for a better future. The media have the responsibility to reflect reality, to educate, and to enlighten the people rather than chaining them to artificial conflicts.

The Congolese people deserve better. They deserve journalism committed to peace, cohesion, and development. The time has come to turn the page and move forward together toward a future where information enlightens rather than divides.
