Kiseguro leads humanitarian effort: Three homes built for widows sleeping in the open

In an act of compassion aimed at assisting the vulnerable, Kiseguro, represented by Colonel Eustache, took the lead in a community work initiative that brought hope and dignity to widows who had been sleeping in the open due to extreme poverty. The activity, conducted as a communal effort, resulted in the construction of three houses that now serve as a safe haven for these women.

According to organizers, the three houses were built to provide shelter and restore a sense of dignity to the widows who had been enduring the harshness of life without a roof over their heads. The leadership of Kiseguro emphasized that this initiative is part of their broader vision to promote unity and social responsibility by caring for the most vulnerable members of society.

Colonel Eustache, who spearheaded the activity, stated that action speaks louder than words, especially when it comes to improving people’s lives. “We chose to support these widows because their living conditions were inhumane. Building homes for them is not only about providing shelter; it’s about restoring hope and letting them know they are not alone in their struggles,” he said.

The initiative was met with deep appreciation, especially from the beneficiaries, who could not hide their emotions as they received the keys to their new homes. One widow expressed her gratitude, saying: “I spent three years sleeping outside with my children. I don’t have words to describe what this means to us. I feel like I have regained hope in life. May God bless you all.”

The project also received support from members of the AFC/M23 framework and ARC, who contributed resources, construction materials, and manpower to ensure the success of the work. This collaboration proved how impactful partnerships can be when organizations join efforts to serve the community.

As the activity concluded, all participants were praised for their contribution, and the public was encouraged to emulate this spirit of generosity and solidarity.

This initiative is a shining example that support is not just about financial ability, but about the will to act and help change lives. It sets a commendable standard for leadership with compassion and shows what can be achieved when communities unite for a noble cause.
