Sunday, March 9, 2025 Once again, the media of the Kinshasa regime are misleading public opinion with unfounded information regarding the security situation on the ground. Contrary to official claims, the strategic town of Kamanyola is now fully under the control of the Alliance of Forces for Change (AFC) and the March 23 Movement (M23).
For weeks, Kinshasa has been orchestrating disinformation to conceal the reality of the ongoing conflict. Instead of acknowledging the advances of AFC/M23 forces, the Congolese authorities are manipulating information and diverting attention from the true military situation on the ground.
We reaffirm our commitment to neutralizing any threat at its source, regardless of its origin. Stabilizing the region remains a priority, and we will continue working towards a future free from manipulation and interference that seek to perpetuate instability.
As disinformation continues, it is crucial for both national and international public opinion to exercise discernment regarding the information relayed by Kinshasa’s official channels. Only an objective and factual approach will allow for a true understanding of the situation and the consideration of lasting solutions for peace in the region.
